Outside the gate of Jerusalem,
stands a hill called
Calvary.
On a landscape harsh and barren
prophecy became harsh
reality.

Some fear looking at this picture
for they only see despair.
Yet, ponder for a moment
those three crosses standing there.

At the forefront stands a rough hewn cross
a sign proclaiming, "King of the Jews."
On either side of his battered body
hang two he came to save.
